Striving for software that lets us forget about computers.

PhiPod

PhiPod is a Java Applet that looked like an iPod and allowed me to stream mp3s off of my computer through a web browser. (It was extremely convenient to be able to stream music from home while I spent a summer working for IBM.) I decided to take PhiPod down for now, since there are a bunch of legal issues that could arise if someone else started streaming my music, so I ultimately plan to make PhiPod secure and then open source the code for whoever wants to serve their own PhiPod.

Incidentally, PhiPod got its name for the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity symbol that I placed at its center. And yes, PhiPod was developed at the good 'ole Omicron chapter of PSK at MIT.
